Why I take these calls.
The legal market has split, and the middle of it is gone. Most of what used to fill a junior lawyer's day costs almost nothing to produce now. At the other end, partner rates at the largest firms have moved past two thousand dollars an hour. What disappeared is the part in between, which happens to be the part most people actually need.
I use these tools every day and I think they're very good. They are also not accountable for anything. The sanction lands on the lawyer, regardless of who chose the software. The answer got cheap, and being answerable for it didn't.
